Since I was young, I have had an interest in the paranormal. Although I had never had my own experiences, moving into the Sallie House in 1993 changed that. Through the activity my husband I witnessed and experienced, I quickly came to realize how unique the house and its secrets were.
Not all those I encounter felt the same. Despite those obstacles, I have maintained an interest in the house, the investigators who research it, and the factual representation of information concerning the house, its activity, and ongoing research efforts.
My goal is to allow everyone an inside view into the house and to experience, as best as possible the story and facts connected with it. Should you ever have a question please don’t hesitate to e-mail me.

My first paranormal experience left me feeling that a demonic presence resided in my childhood bedroom. Since that time I have stayed far away from any interest in the field. The experiences in the Sallie House brought back those memories and experiences and — along with my Catholic upbringing — terrified me.
We remained in the Sallie house for several reasons; curiosity, the need for answers about the strange things that we experienced, and lack of money to move to another place were among them. After finally leaving the house, I stayed as far away from it as I could, even though my wife did everything she could to go back to it.
After 10 years, I decided to confront the fears I had built up. Although I never really let my guard down, I had taken part in many investigations into that house several times. It was a different experience for me now. I am no longer a victim, but a researcher.

Since the death of my best friend in high school left so many unanswered questions, I have had a growing interest in the paranormal. I have found over the years that I have a keen sense when it comes to hearing and analyzing EVP.
In my work I am adamant about not over-processing EVP. I feel that in doing so you change the properties and lose much of what you are trying to identify. Instead I amplify and focus on what I can hear.
This house had become a focal point in my research, due to the tremendous amount of EVP that is captured and the entities that I have encountered.

Have you ever thought about writing an e-book or guest authoring on other sites?
I have a blog centered on the same ideas you discuss and would love to have you share some stories/information. I know my viewers would appreciate
your work. If you are even remotely interested, feel free to send me an e-mail.
Hi, I have done both. My book titled The Sallie House Haunting, a True Story is available in paperback and as an e-book. It is written chronologically and my desire is to give the reader an inside look at what we went through. Sort of like being a fly on the wall. I hope to have the link for purchasing the book directly from us soon. Doing so means getting bonus material and the book will be autographed by both Tony and myself.
Email me at debra@thesalliehouse.com with your blog link and I will surely check it out. 🙂
