Tony’s Heartstopping Morning
As far as Tony was concerned, October 31st 1993 was a morning just like every other morning. He had worked the 3rd shift and got off at 7:00am. He had gotten home and gone into the kitchen to get something to drink before taking a few minutes to unwind. Unfortunately things change very quickly.
What a neighbor girl doing in our kitchen?
He got a glass from the cupboard and turned around to see a little girl standing across the kitchen just beyond the woodblock in the center of the room. His first though was, who was this child and why is she in my kitchen. A split second later, the realization kicked in; the clothes in which she was dressed were not of 1993.
He dropped the glass, which had been in his hand, and it shattered to the floor. He looked down when he heard the noise and when he looked up she was gone. As fast as he could he ran up stairs to where I had been sleeping in the master bedroom. His bounding up the stairs had awoken me just before he busted into the room.
Partly scared, partly excited and very much so, out of breath, he repeated, “I saw her, I saw her”. “Saw who?”, I asked. Sally. While he tried to catch his breath, he went on to tell me exactly what had happened. We spent the next 20-30 minutes going over his experience, while I pummeled him with questions. What did she look like, what was she wearing, did she say anything or do anything, could he see thru her etc….
In answering a multitude of questions, he went on to describe her as follows: “She looked just as real as you and I; innocent looking and sweet. She had a surprised look on her face as if she was just as curious. She wasn’t scary looking at all (he had it in his mind that if he ever saw a ghost it would be creepy looking and scary).
She had shorter brown hair pulled up with a bow that sat on top of her head, a round face and big eyes. She was in a fancy dress of lace and which made it apparent that she was well to do or at least well taken care of.
When asked how tall she was, Tony said he wasn’t real sure; “about my chest height, (Tony is bout 5’5”) but I couldn’t see if her feet were on the floor”. He went on to say that she didn’t say anything or do anything, she just stood there staring at him. When the class broke, she must have disappeared when he looked down at it, because she was gone when he looked up. There was no sign at all that she had been there.
After talking about his experience, he returned to the kitchen to clean up the glass and returned about 20 minutes later with a piece of paper. He handed it to me, “This is what I saw”.
At this point, we decided the apparition he saw must have been the little girl spirit that the psychic had picked up on, and so the name Sally was written on the drawing.
